Palestine
What does resistance look like?
Palestine is a place that resists easy narratives.
For some, it is the birthplace of faith. For others, it is a headline, a political debate, or a conflict viewed from a distance. For the people who call it home, it is where children play, families gather around tables, olive trees are tended, and daily life continues amid uncertainty.
The olive tree offers perhaps the clearest window into understanding Palestine. Its roots run deep into the soil, just as generations of Palestinians have remained connected to their ancestral land. It nourishes families, carries memory, and stands as a symbol of persistence. Even through hardship, it continues to grow. Across Palestine, olive trees tell stories of belonging, resilience, and an enduring connection between people and place.
This journey invites us into those stories.
Together, we’ll listen, learn, and walk alongside communities whose lives have been shaped by both profound beauty and ongoing struggle. We’ll visit villages, cities, places of worship, and community spaces while learning from people whose experiences rarely fit within the simplified narratives that dominate the news.
The question guiding this journey is simple: What does resistance look like?
Not resistance as an abstract political idea, but as a lived practice. The preservation of culture. The protection of community. The decision to remain rooted. The choice to keep creating, celebrating, teaching, worshiping, and hoping.
Throughout the journey, we’ll partner with CPT Palestine, a long-standing organization committed to nonviolent presence, accompaniment, and solidarity. Their relationships and experience will help us engage thoughtfully with local communities while learning from those working toward dignity, justice, and peace.
October marks the beginning of the olive harvest, one of the most important seasons in Palestinian life. Families return home, communities gather in the groves, and generations work side by side beneath the trees. In recent years, restrictions, harassment, and violence have increasingly threatened this tradition. By joining the harvest, we participate in a small but meaningful act of solidarity while witnessing both the challenges and the extraordinary resilience of the people who continue to care for this land.
We won’t leave with all the answers. We will leave with names, relationships, stories, and a deeper understanding of what it means to remain human in a fractured world.

CPT Palestine
For this journey, we are honored to partner with CPT Palestine. Community Peacemaker Teams (CPT) is an international organization committed to active nonviolence, solidarity, and peacebuilding in places experiencing conflict and injustice. For decades, CPT has accompanied local communities in Palestine, documenting human rights concerns, supporting nonviolent action, and standing alongside people working toward dignity, justice, and peace.
Their work is rooted in long-term relationships. Rather than arriving with solutions, CPT listens, learns, accompanies, and amplifies local voices. Those relationships create opportunities for meaningful encounters that would be difficult to access through traditional tourism.
Global Soul has previously participated in this delegation and experienced firsthand the depth of learning, hospitality, and human connection it creates. Together, Global Soul and CPT invite travelers into a journey grounded in relationship, guided by local wisdom, and shaped by the belief that understanding begins when we draw closer.
Applications, registration, trip payments, and participant logistics are administered directly through CPT Palestine.
